Mission

Flagler College is a small private, residential college located in historic St. Augustine, Florida. The centerpiece of its campus is the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, a grand hotel constructed in 1888 by Henry M. Flagler, industrialist, philanthropist, railroad pioneer, and developer of the east coast of Florida. The Hotel Ponce de Leon serves as an enduring reminder of Mr. Flagler's enterprise, diligence, and commitment to excellence. The College is committed to the preservation of the hotel and other historic structures that grace its campus.

The mission of Flagler College is to educate and prepare students for productive careers, graduate and professional studies, and informed, responsible citizenship. Flagler College emphasizes teaching and scholarship; promotes intellectual and personal growth; and provides high quality education in a caring and supportive environment that capitalizes on its historic, coastal location and its beautiful campus. Flagler College offers a liberal arts and pre-professional curriculum and promotes high impact learning experiences, including co-curricular opportunities, which foster the development of well-rounded students.
