Business and Professional Women Scholarship

2008-2009 Career Advancement Scholarship Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, you must:
• Be female
• Be at least 25 years of age by May 2, 2008
• Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national
• Demonstrate critical financial need
• Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $2,500 or less
• Be officially accepted into an accredited degree or certificate program at an accredited U.S. college or university, including those in American Samoa, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands
• Plan to graduate or receive certification between December 1, 2008 and August 31, 2010
• Demonstrate clear career plans
• Not be earning a doctoral-level or terminal degree, such as a PhD, MD, DDS, DVM, JD, etc.

Study Strategy and Reading Center
All members of the Flagler community are welcome to use the Reading Center located in Kenan Hall, room 341. The Center provides a variety of materials and detailed information for immediate use by all students, staff and faculty. Visitors to the Reading Center can:
 
 - Work one-on-one with an instructor to review for tests or increase comprehension strategies as they apply to college reading

- Increase awareness of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills to improve performance in subject areas

- Learn strategies for speed reading
and much more!!

Math Lab

Math Lab/Help

 The Flagler College MATH LAB is a service of the college and the mathematics department. The lab is available for all students, full-time or part-time, at all course levels. The MATH LAB helps with the content of any mathematics course offered at Flagler College. MATH LAB assistants are available to provide guidance in understanding mathematical concepts, completing homework assignments, and mastering calculator functions on the TI – 83 series of calculators.  The MATH LAB provides Internet-connected computers for tutorial work, and extra texts and worksheets for additional practice.

MATH LAB hours: 

Monday through Thursday 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Kenan 321
