About half of Flagler students live on campus. Flagler's residence hall for women is Ponce de Leon Hall, a masterpiece of Spanish Renaissance architecture built as a resort hotel in 1887 and now fully restored. Flagler men live in Lewis Hall, constructed in 1987 and Cedar Hall, constructed in 2002.  A new addition to the residence halls is the FEC Towers that will open the Fall of 2008 for both male and female residents.

There are a variety of room sizes in Ponce de Leon Hall, from singles to those accommodating six students in one room. Only a few rooms have detached bathroom facilities; however, most have bathrooms that are accessible from within the room or suite, some serving as a connector to another room and may accomodate up to seven students.  FEC Tower B will be for females and each room will have its own bathroom.

In Lewis House, all bathrooms are designed as connectors between two residence rooms. The most that would be sharing one bathroom in Lewis House is five students. Cedar Hall is the newest residence hall. The bathrooms in Cedar are also designed as connectors between two residence rooms. Four students will share a bathroom in Cedar Hall. For all residence halls, the beds are twin-sized extra long. There are bunk beds in some rooms, and these can be un-bunked if the residents desire it. All bathrooms have showers; no bathtubs are available.  The FEC Tower C is for male students and each room has its own bathroom.

A large part of the educational experience at a residential college is life on campus. For this reason, freshmen are required to live on campus. Residential life at Flagler College centers on traditional values that place the focus on ethics and on educational pursuits. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on campus, nor is there interdorm visitation between men and women.

But there is plenty to do. A full array of activities is available to allow students the opportunity to experiment with new things and to meet new people. The campus is also conveniently located in historic downtown St. Augustine, with shops, restaurants and the waterfront just a short walk away. St. Augustine Beach, a popular place to live for many upperclassmen, is across the Bridge of Lions, about four miles from campus. Please see the "Community" page for more.

Students in the Residence Halls can connect to the Internet via the campus computer network. For more information, please see the Technology Services information.

For off-campus students, the Office of Student Service provides a housing guide  to assist with finding suitable rentals.
