Books and Supplies
Tuition does not include the cost of required textbooks and supplies which must be purchased by the student at the beginning of each semester. The bookstore is operated by an independent contractor, and payment is permitted by cash or check, Visa or Master card, or students may use their FlaglerOne Card. Students should report to the College with sufficient funds to purchase the required textbooks and supplies. Even if a student is expecting to have a credit on the student account from the financial aid, that credit will not be available for refund in time for the student to purchase books and supplies. The cost of textbooks and supplies varies greatly according to the courses in which the student is enrolled. The average cost for underclassmen is about $400 to $450 per semester. Supplies for graphic art classes can be considerably higher. A book buy-back is held at the end of each semester.
Each student should arrive at the College with sufficient funds to purchase the required textbooks and supplies. Students should not depend on credit refunds from financial aid programs to pay for books since such credits do not materialize that early in the semester. The cost of books varies greatly but averages about $400 per student per semester. Textbooks are returnable during the first two weeks of each semester. Also, a book buy-back is held at the end of each semester.
Class Ring
The official Flagler College Class Ring is a unique design available from Josten's which comes to campus once a semester to take orders. Rings also may be ordered by phone 1-800-854-7464.
