This course examines topics in financial and managerial accounting used by socialentrepreneurs to measure performance and make strategic business decisions. Emergent practices within financial management and impact measurement of social enterprises are explored. Topics include triple-bottom-line accounting, impact measurement and reporting, and measuring the correlation between operating performance and impact sustainability. Students also explore the principles of transparency and democratic governance while creating social value.
