Description

Exploration of data manipulation using common industry libraries (Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib). Programming basics for data handling, statistical analysis of data including visualization, and probability and simulation will be used. Students will perform elementary machine learning and model evaluation. Emphasis will be placed on using the core concepts of the course to answer questions as part of the data science cycle. This course is typically offered in the spring semester. A lab fee is required for this course.
